angela crowley: I had an MRI done and I have a torn meniscus but that's not where my pain is I kept telling them it was on the opposite side it's been happening for about 6 months where my knee will actually lock and I can't bend it I have a lot of pain. A surgeon finally diagnosed me with IT syndrome I'm not a runner I am not a bicyclist I was a waitress for 25 years please help!!

Jo Geo: When I go to physical therapy for post ACL reconstructions I just get a list of exercises to do on my own and get sent home is this physical therapy? I am an active U.S military member stationed in Australia. Every week I go I get a new list of exercises. Is this what physical therapy is for.

I have always been a runner but a few months ago I was in auto accident where I hurt my knees from wreck could that have anything to do with it when I tried to run again after few months is when my knee would swell up

Won'tRespond: A dog plowed into my knee caving it inward towards my other knee. Now my knee is unstable and I get shooting pain every time I straighten it or twist. I can walk squatting but it feels like something is slipping/popping/tearing when my leg nears straight.

dbricker123: The pain I felt for years was due to down-hill hiking, although not going down stairs at home; good hiking poles have helped. After running for 8 months (3-5 miles/3x a week, every 2 weeks 5-6 miles 1x) I tore my tensor fascia. This was probably due to weak gluteus medius & minimus muscles, and too little work on my core strength/stability. Most important have been exercises to strengthen my core and the gluteus muscles, with occasional femur/IT stretching. These are very good exercises, but you should (perhaps you have already addressed this) give advice to runners that simply stretching is not nearly enough. Also, I had analysis (film & photo, with a sport physio) of my gate, posture and stride; it was eye-opening! Finally, custom insoles for running/hiking were purchased. Your vids are very helpful, but please go the extra mile with comprehensive advice.

J. T.: Ohmygosh!! Thank you so much for this video. The entirety of the content was very very helpful. After being in a bad relationship for 3 years I gained about 80 lb and I'm practically disabled due to IT band problems. This video is a blessing to me because it gives me hope. Don't worry about the Broken Heart video just bring more IT band exercises. I'm hoping to be able to do a half-marathon again someday as I find myself again. My heart has been mended, unfortunately however, the IT band still need some work!!! I'm sure that these exercises will help. If you can it would be helpful for those of us who are very overweight to have some IT band exercises that will be easier for heavier people to accomplish. There are several here that I should be able to do. The figure 4 is not something I'm able to accomplish. I also I'm not so proficient with the foam roller.

Ahmad Bazara: Does anyone else have recurrent knee cracking due to long walks and such because of the constant knee flexion?..
