RuralAccent Woodcraft: Hi Dave. I've just stumbled across your channel and absolutely love it. I'm just getting back into model trains after twenty years off - what an addictive hobby! I'm based further north than you, but also in Scotland, and love the scotrail theme you've adopted. I was wondering where you got the backdrop images, and also where you get the stone for the retaining walls etc.? As you know, brick isn't so common in these parts, so hoping to go down a similar line to you ☺️

epj900: The "black things" on the firebox are wash-out plugs

david large: I like the way you got the perspective spot on for the backscenes takes a good eye .

TheColane: Damn you! I am now £125 poorer lol. Great review/sales pitch ;-)

Jack Brown: That's great Dave because those aws ramps look the part on your layout, you know Richard at everard he swears by goo-gone

Jack Brown: Hi Dave meant to ask you before now, have you used the cmx track cleaner yet !! I remember you saying you weren't sure if it would clear the aws ramps as a result I haven't bought any ramps yet as I have the cmx as well sitting brand new in its box, it'll never be used unless I can conquer the soldering aspect cheers Jack.

depreciousMODE: Love it, very well done.

mucks: WOW!!! that scenery just finishes off that area. :)

... as for The Flying Scotsman, I'll make you envious, I've ridden in it's carriages on several occasions ... I'm a bourn & bred Dundonian. :p

Ryan Cooper: what is the difference between a mk 1,2,3 coach

tjf4375: This all looks fantastic Dave, particularly love the flats, and how you've staggered them slightly to give a bit more depth - also the backscene looks terrific. Really awesome work.

Caius Martius: No reason to dislike can be found from my point of view...great layout, great progress and good video skills...well done and keep the uploads coming please.

Chris Carter: very good as usual Dave, like how you do thinks properly, not rushing.

pictyboy: dedication wins out. braw.

Iain Botham: 3:09 Why don't you utilise the space you have available and used curved track for that short siding? That may give you room for an extra coach

Full marks for painting the rails rusty (and leaving the top part shiny). I've seen some otherwise lovely layouts who's builders have neglected carry out this important detail

southway1943: Hi ya dave
the layout is looking superb loving the back scene really gives the layout depth.
I notices on your TMD area you have 3 sets of points all on top of each other in my experience I found some locos can stall on that many points on top of each other the way I over come this was to place a section of track between points to break them up just thought I'd share that but see what happens when you build and test it.
keep up the hard work.

John Bennett: Great update Dave. Love the Backscene, brilliant addition, really sets the scene, well done. You Locomotive review of the LNER Flying Scotsman is excellent, so good I have ordered one today. Excellent Value, as you say, real bargain. Just a bit disappointed you didn't include it in your latest running video. Perhaps you could feature it in your next one. Keep your excellent videos coming. Many thanks again for sharing. Kind regards. John.

Brighton Junction: its a shame that the A3's were rebuilt with the bango dome and fitted with smoke deflectors, dont get me wrong looks fantastic in BR days; but in preservation she must be kept like it and not in its original LNER form. :(

she has just veen overhauled back into BR green im pretty sure.

the back scenes look fantastic by the way!!!!! loving the progression! :)

Leaves Green: Hi Dave, how high are your backboards? Your scene looks excellent, really very impressive. Looking forward to the next update as most of us on here do. Cheers.

Scott Downey: Great update.  I really like the back drop and the way you installed it.  The Flying Scotsman looks great.  Yes, loco's are getting really expensive.  I only bought one, LRC Via Rail by Rapido which cost me $370.  I know the detail is great but when you don't have a budget like that it makes it hard.  I also hate for something to happen to it.Scott
